A vineyard with
noble roots.
Jordan d'Exeter was a Norman Knight from the de Courcy family, who controlled Exeter and surrounding lands in the 12th c. At this time wine was made in England, perhaps on the same slopes that the house Jordan occupies now. Jordan was part of the Norman conquest of Ireland, where he built a castle and monastery, lead the cavalry charge at the first battle of Athenry, and founded the clan Jordan, of which Ivan Jordan, the founder of the vineyard, is a descendant.
This symbol assembles three key aspects of the vineyard and its history to create a unique and memorable house crest.
